The service was truly incredible. We were served by the lovely and personable owner, Annie. She made sure our experience was perfect. Aswel, I ate the best bruschetta I have ever tried in my life. All of the food was delicious and I am eager to come back!

The food and the service is great. And it is always good to have a chat with Annie. She is proud of her restaurant and the fact she has pulled through some tough economic times. Still our go to Italian restaurant.

Best Italian food hands down . Make sure to try there lobster bisque life changing . Highly recommend.

We often go for birthday dinners amongst friends. Have been going since they were a small place on Kensington Road. The food is always great. Portions are huge. Service is beyond fantastic. It’s a place we used to take our parents when they were in their 80’s. you know how hard they can be to please. Prices are reasonable.

We were there for a sorority function....we have held a function there at Christmas time. The quaint surroundings and quiet dining areas make for a great girls night out to honour our Woman of the Year. Food was fabulous and service was excellent. I'll be back!

I travel all over and this is so far my favorite restaurant in Calgary. It was friendly, satisfying, and probably the best Italian I’ve ever had. I got the Combo Italiano and I probably will again next time.

The shrimp was canned, they were about the size of maggots instead of looking like shrimp. The spaghetti seemed like it was from a 'Basilli's Best' microwave dinner tray.There are far better Italian restaurants elsewhere in the city. You can get better pasta at the Old Spaghetti Factory, or if you want authentic Italian you go to La Cantina at the Calgary Italian Cultural Centre. I have no clue how this place is held in such high regard.

Loved this venue. Hand made pasta.. very good. The hosts are also very courteous. Went there with a networking group and they made us all feel welcomed.

Always a great meal and experience at La Viena! The servers and owners are always lovely to chat with and make the experience that much more enjoyable. We only ever order pasta dishes or dessert but it’s always delicious! Great reliable restaurant!

At year 20 this restaurant remains a gem of Italian pleasure in Calgary. Authentic dishes cooked to perfection. Great ambience for romantic dinner. Excellent value for lunch meeting specials. Welcoming and experienced long term staff. Very good value.

Amazing service and hospitality, we even got a free dessert for the wait! The best blueberry cheesecake I've ever had. It's delicious pasta and chatting with the hosts will make your night.

Came in today (Friday) for a birthday party (9 people). They were quick with service. Everything was super clean. They even give you a disposable baggie to hold your mask in at the table so they don't just sit on the table. They gave the birthday girl a free shot and dessert. Even put on Happy Birthday over the speaker system. They also printed out coloring sheets for my 4yo son (didn't ask).Food was great. Portions were good. And service was amazing.

This restaurant offers a huge menu of different pastas and appetizers. I usually get the blue cheese gorgonzola ravioli which tastes wonderful. I was hesitant at first, but with the wonderful help of Marco, I gave it a chance and did not leave disappointed! The blue cheese is not too overpowering. The restaurant is clean, never too loud and the service is excellent. Marco is a great server. It's unfortunate that they don't offer many desserts without alcohol in it. Overall, great experience!

Great pastas that are made in house! It’s hard to beat the price for what you get, and everything we had was tasty. The spinach fettuccini was unexpectedly delicious, and the Brie cream sauce on one of the pastas was lovely.

Place looks old but authentic. I like the arts that is hanging on the wall. Place looks a bit old. Food was real good and the selection of Italian food was quite a lot. And services was even better. They made me feel like a family. Not many restaurants makes you feel like that. Well, I would visit this place again the next time I feel like some Italian food... for that homely and part of a family feeling.Good job guys.

First timer here! Delicious pasta, perfect quantity, inventive and innovative menu items as well as the homey Italian basics that we all crave. Had a cheese stuffed raviloli in a warm creamy gargonzola sauce. Bruschetta to start, delicious and clearly homemade. Warm bread, with butter was served with our dinner. Service was impeccable by Marcos, and the host was very kind, polite, and timely. Will come here again, hopefully soon.

First time at this place, good Italian food, hot served, that is a plus! To many plastic cheap signs, for a nice restaurant, classy paintings (love them). If you are a fan of Italian food, go try it!

A cozy atmosphere with a candlelit dinner. Waiters/waitresses were attentive and the food came fairly quick. Decent meal portions with a creative spin on some dishes! Not a huge fan of the location due to the constant flashing of the speed cameras on the traffic lights. Slow down speeders, Christmas is almost here! Would recommend for a meal with friends and family :)

We used La Viena for our after-tournament banquet, and were nothing but impressed. We had reserved for 35, then asked with fairly short notice to increase that to 40, and were comfortably accommodated. Despite our large number the restaurant didn't require us to have a set menu, so everyone was able to order what they wanted. The food was excellent and the service was great. I have only good things to say about this restaurant. Will definitely go again.

We've been going to La Vienna for years in their old location. Great food, reasonable prices, great staff. Last night the food was great, service excellent and the entertainment outstanding. They had a Flamenco guitarist who entertained without overwhelming us. Great!

I just ordered a meal from your restaurant for delivery-it was disgusting. Your Italian salad tasted like pure vinegar, the lasagna was a container of sauce and very bland. I tried to email you, but there’s no address, I guess this is why. I am very disappointed.

Sauce was very wet. It was not great. Bread was hard on one side and soft on other. My girlfriend smells like onions now.

Great experience! It was busy the night my friend and I came so we waited a little bit to be sat. The waitress was constantly apologizing for the wait and sat us at a table far from from a loud crowd. That was considerate of her and brought us our drinks. A different server came by to give us some dinner rolls which where warm and I liked them! Both servers were very pleasant with small talk. I enjoyed my food and I think the price point was fair. My company enjoyed his pasta, too. I’m glad I came here! Will definitely be coming back. The service is above satisfactory and is worth coming back for. Thank you La Viena!

Ended up at this restaurant only because Earls down the street was full and very glad we did. Food was excellent, the staff was super accommodating for our kids. They substituted lots of things, even put two pieces of cheese toast together so we could call it a grilled cheese sandwich for our toddler. It doesn't look like much on the outside but the food and service was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Skip the Olive Garden and other chains, go here. I had the spinach fettuccini Alfredo with sun dried tomatoes, delicious.

There is a wide variety of meal options on the menu, allowing everyone in the family to find something they like. The portion sizes are quite large for the cost (including the alcohol!) and the food was great, we especially loved the gelato. We enjoyed our meal and will certainly have to return when we're in town!

Amazing food it's the best authentic Italian food you can get in Calgary #1 in my opinion
